The DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service-formerly called, Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) enables organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors to make safer recruitment decisions by identifying candidates who may be unsuitable for certain work, especially that involving children or vulnerable adults.
